Shi Tongming, male, 18 years old, a local resident in our city. He has lost the tongue coating for 3 years. No ulcers in the mouth and no pains of the tongue body. He feels that the phlegm increased in the throat, and it is whitish. There is slightly itching sense in the throat. His appetite, sleeping and sprit are the same as usual. Thin tongue coating appears on the surface of the tongue body. Obvious fissures on the left edge of his tongue body are still there. However, the fissures on the right edge of his tongue have been improved obviously.

There is reduction of the phlegm in the throat. No itching sense in the throat. No lumbago. The urine is clear.

Fissured tongue body has disappeared basically. There is thin and white tongue coating in these recent days, but it is not a stable condition. It appears and disappears from time to time. The root of the tongue has flaming sense occasionally. Thirst and liking cold drinks. The appetite and spirit are both fine. Slight insomnia. The right pulse indicates his kidney deficiency.

His tongue coating covers almost 40% of the surface of the tongue. He continues with those 3 dosages of the herbal tea.

His disease has been greatly improved. Most of the times, his tongue coating approaches to be a normal state. The fissures on the edges of his tongues body have disappeared basically.
