Apoplexy

Qiu Guoxianga 50 years old lady, she could not walk after apoplexy.

September 29, 2005.

The patient took treatment in another hospital in our city and our hospital too for cerebral apoplexy and right flank body hemiplegia three months ago. There are distention and pains in forehead and eyeballs. She often feels tired and sometimes thirst and little phlegm. Right side of the body as if tied with a rope. His heart feels palpitations. Her appetite drops and has loose stool, yellow or clear urination. The patient dreams too much. Swelling and distention in the right lower limbs and back pain. She almost cannot walk herself. Tooth-marks on the edge of the tongue and with slight yellow coating.

Her distention and pains in the forehead are relived 60% and eyeball’s distention is relived at some extent. Little phlegm and slight palpitations. Her spirit is better than before. The right side of the body is not so tight. Food in-take increased and her bowel movement is better. Yellow or clear urination. The pulse is thin and weak. Hand back is blue and purplish, hand body is swelling. Tooth-marks on the edge of the tongue and no thin yellow coating.

November 4, 2005.

There are tapping pains and burning pains in her right arm. Food in-take is reduced, and pains are all around body. Frequent urination and the urine is sometimes yellow and sometimes clear. Pale tongue body with tooth-marks on the edge of the tongue, much phlegm.

The patient can walk 10 meters without help. Appetite is good and spirit is well. Her right side body is relaxed. The pains of the eyeballs are relieved 40%. Dry and reddish and slight purple tongue body with thin yellow coating. Phlegm with much foam. No retching and today's blood pressure is 90/150mmHg.

Up to now , the patient’s previous symptom has much improvement and she could walk herself for a few kilometers without the help of her stick. The right limbs are not numb, especially lower limb. Poor sleeping, 2-3 hours everyday. It is hard to fall asleep if waking up during night. Few food in-take, drink little water. The bowel movement is normal and frequent urination, especially at night. Blood pressure is 148/90mmHg. Thin and deep pulse, pale tongue body with thin tongue coating.
